Geology students from Year 11 and Year 12 visited Cardiff’s Natural History museum to walk through geological time. Highlights were the dinosaur bones and the giant crystals. Past students from Taskers then showed our students around the Earth Science (Geology) Department at Cardiff University. Our Year 10 Geology students had their first field visit to study the relationship between age and weathering of the gravestones at St Thomas a Beckett Church. There are some excellent examples of granites and sandstones to view. Dan Phillips said” This inspired me to learn more about the rock types”. These activities were supported by Pembrokeshire Earth Science Schools Trust (PESST) and Dr Andrew Armour.
